Ammonium Acetate (10 M)

To prepare a 1 liter solution, dissolve 770g of ammonium acetate in 800ml of water. Adjust the volume to 1 liter with water. Sterilize by filtration.

Sterilize the solution by passing it through a 0.22-micrometer filter. Store the solution in tightly sealed bottles at 4 oC or at room temperature.

Ammonium acetate decomposes in hot water and solutions containing it should not be autoclaved.
